Connect a repository
Connect a repository from Repositories, grant the source access it needs, and confirm the selected workspace and repository before starting an audit.
Steps
- Open Repositories and choose Connect repository. Select the source provider and choose a repository or enter its URL. Supported connections include GitHub, GitLab.com and Bitbucket Cloud.
- For GitHub, use the GitHub App installation and limit its repository access to the projects you intend to scan. Private source needs an authorized connection; a public URL alone does not grant access to private code.
- Check the repository owner and name after connecting. If an eligible Free Quick Scan is available, the connection flow starts it; otherwise open the repository and choose Run audit.
- Open the resulting audit to confirm the target commit and completed checks. Use the dashboard to return to recent scans and unresolved findings.
Read the result
A connected repository means vetkit has a saved source target. It does not mean that a scan has completed or that every branch has been analyzed. Repository audits inspect a checkout; they do not execute the application.
Limits and availability
Source-provider permissions and workspace entitlements still apply. Remote scans do not include unsaved buffers or unpushed local changes. Free Quick Scan has a restricted check selection and default-branch scope; it is not a full audit.
This guide describes the implemented workflow. The features available in your workspace depend on account capabilities and configuration; advanced workflows are not all included in Free Quick Scan. Check the available controls and the evidence returned by each run.
